Mid-Season Stretch (8/25/11)
We are definitely in full stride.
The weather now feels like construction weather. Warm days, cool nights, and daylight hours are getting noticeably shorter. This time of year we are always in full stride.
In the Twin Cities area, we typically have a 30-week construction season. In other words, we have 60 percent of the calendar year available “to make it or break it.”
In the spring, it takes several weeks to “warm up” at the beginning of the season. Towards the end of the season, we get the usual “cool down” in November.
In between, we generally are very busy, running hard and fast. We’re just past the midway point for this construction season. As expected, we’re going hard and fast.
As always, safety and quality are top priorities. With our skilled and experienced leaders and crews, productivity is excellent.
We’ll continue to roll on down the road to get ‘er done. After all, our job is pounding the pavement.
Literally.
